About the Program
The Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF) has contracted with Maximus to perform Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) Level I Identification Screens and Level II Evaluations for individuals who are applying to or reside in Medicaid-certified nursing facilities, beginning on July 1, 2025.
The primary goal of the federally mandated PASRR program is to determine whether an individual with a known or suspected serious mental illness (SMI), intellectual disability (ID), and/or a related condition (RC), requires the services of a nursing facility and if so, any disability specific services they need to be successful in that setting.
